Squirt C Team Improves Record to 3 (W) - 3 (L)!

Squirt C Team Improves Record!

Bulldogs Squirt C team improves their record to 3 - 3 with a 6 - 2 win over the Owatonna Huskies on Saturday morning. The Bulldogs came out strong with an early goal scored by Hunter “Fun Size” Reasor. The goal was followed up with scoring by Kyle “Bull” Johnson and a beautiful soft touch past the goalie by Reece “Pieces” Krenik. Strong defense kept the Huskies from getting any first period shots on goalie Brandon “Shooter” McLean. The second period started out with another goal by Bull, assisted by Finn “Finnster” Gibson. Kyle “Krenik” Krenik dumped in a fifth goal for the Bulldogs. Defensive hustle by Mason “Rhino” Reinhardt, Pieces, Fun Size and Tyler “Shark” Erickson took away several breakaway attempts by the Huskies. The third period saw Bull with his first Hat Trick, scoring the sixth and final goal of the game for the Bulldogs. Logan “B-Dog” Throldahl, Ruot “Teddy” Nyak, Gage “Smalls” McVenes” and Michael “Motorcycle” Moline all contributed with great passing and strong defense, denying the Huskies any easy shots on goal and holding them to only a total of 8 shots throughout the game. Shooter had a strong showing, allowing only 2 goals in his first appearance in the net. It was an awesome team effort all around! The Bulldogs next game appearance will be in the Hutchinson Squirt Tournament January 12th and 13th. Go Bulldogs!

First HAT TRICK of the Season!

By Kim Gibson 12/23/2012, 9:45am CST

1st Hat Trick!

Congrats to Hunter "Fun Size" Reasor for the 1st Hat Trick of the 2012-2013 Season!  It was a well-matched game yesterday as our Bulldogs Squirt C Team visited the Faribault Fairgrounds Ice Arena in a close game with the Faribault rival.  The final score was Bulldogs 5, Faribault 7.  Reasor scored 4 goals and Finn "Finnster" Gibson scored 1 goal.  The Bulldogs offense tenaciously earned every goal and fought hard to the very end.  Kyle "Bull" Johnson defended 31 shots against his goal and remained strong throughout the game while Michael "Motorcyle" Moline and the rest of the defense exhausted every attempt to keep the puck out of Bulldog territory.   A final two goals by Faribault in the last minute of the game led to a disappointing loss for the Bulldogs.  While the loss was tough, the parents were very proud to see the "Dogs" work together as a team, improving their passing skills, game positioning, and even displaying some refined team dance skills to "Who let the dogs out?!!"  It was a fun day.
