Our goal is to provide a top notch AAA development program that enables young players to develop their skills, team systems, play making ability, and teamwork without having to leave the Mankato and the Southern Minnesota area in the summer. This will be accomplished through skills practice, team tactic practice, treadmill skating, and dry land workouts.

Tryouts: March, 4th 2012 are set for tryout date.
Times are posted on the website. We will be choosing 22 players as a max from this group. 15 skaters and max 2 goalies will make the tournament roster.

Register online! Fill out the registration information for SMK Tryouts. We will send an email confirming your registration. $10 tryout payment will be handled at the door!

All participants involved in SMK AAA Program will need to fill out a waiver, which can be found on the documents tab of our website at www.smkaaahockey.com Simply print out and bring it to the 1st hour of ice.

Teams: Teams will be assembled by date of birth.
In 2012 we look to have 6 teams with birthdates of 97, 98, 99, 00, 01, (02, and 03 combined) kids. Each team will have a max of 15 tournament skaters, 2 tournament goalies, and 5 alternate/practice players). Alternate/practice players will participate in skill nights and team nights only at a reduced cost. They will be eligible for alternate spots during tournaments if needed. (max tournament rosters 15 skaters 2 goalies)

Ice Sessions: We will skate the months of March, April, and May. June and July will be off for those who play other sports in the summer. We will start back up in August and finish the AAA season at the end of August.

Reason for the 2 month break…….other sports create good cross-over skills and allow kids to regenerate their batteries and come back ready to finish the summer in August and start getting ready for the winter season!
