Better Hockey Clinics
Week 1: July 16 - 19, 2012
Week 2: July 23 - 26, 2012
Where: Gustavus Adolphus College - Don Roberts Ice Arena
"Skills and Safety": Player Safety will be emphasized at this year's clinics. Players will learn and practice numerous techniques that will help them to give and receive checks, detect and elude pressure from opposing checkers, and play "Heads Up Hockey" in all three zones.
Unstructured / Competitive Games: Development of skills is the best way to make the game of hockey more safe - as well as more fun - for our young players. Skating and puck skills will be emphasized in every drill and game that we play!
Small numbers: Each group will consist of no more than 15 skaters! (Goalies are invited and needed. No payment necessary.) Registration for each group will be closed once 15 skaters have secured spots.
Head Instructor Aaron Hoiland will be assisted by qualified instructors each day. Please direct any questions to Aaron at (507) 382-4095 or hoila004@umn.edu.
"Aaron has great patience and enthusiasm and is a very knowledgeable hockey coach. No one works harder to improve the young players' skills."
-- Doug Woog, 2007 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Inductee
