After two successful years in 2009 and 2010, Maverick Camps and the Sports Institute will again be teaming up to offer a spring 3 vs 3 cross ice hockey league in Mankato this spring!  Unfortunately, last year they were not able to accomodate all teams and individuals that wanted to participate, so please get your registration in early to get your spot!

Maverick Camps - Three on Three Hockey

Attached you will find two fliers for the spring 3 on 3 league to be held at All Seasons Arena in Mankato this spring.
       **MAHA Registration is for those currently enrolled in the Mankato Area Hockey Association
       **Team registration is for those participants who are playing outside of Mankato.

The league will start in mid March and finish near the end of April with games being played on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights.

We will have two age groups this year; (Players will register for the level they played at in the 2010-2011 season)

      * Squirts and U12
      * Peewees and U14

There will be eight on ice sessions that will consist of three seventeen minute 3 vs 3 cross ice games.  Players will be encouraged to handle pucks, make plays, support teammates, be creative, and most of all have some fun!  Hockey is a game of "Mistakes" and they will be tolerated, kids will be pushed to get out of their comfort zones and see what they can do!

I have attached Links to a few articles about small area games and what they can do in the development of players.

Registrations will submitted as a team of up to 11 skaters - Teams
will be limited.

Also, check out the team off-ice training option at the Sports
Institute in Mankato.  Players will use the skating treadmill and
work on strength, power and agility drills in the hour long session.

The sports institute is offering great team training
rates to those that are participating in the 3 vs 3 league.
