Coaches Application

If you are interested in coaching in the Bulldog Hockey Association please fill out a coaches application and email it to the Hockey Operations Committee at hoc@bulldoghockey.org or mail to:

Bulldog Hockey Student Coach Guidelines

Student Coaches must be registered as players at the level above where they are coaching (i.e., Squirts can coach with Mites, PeeWee can coach with Squirts; Squirt A can not coach Squirt C).
The USA Hockey Student Coach form must be filled out properly and submitted to the head coach for each Student Coach on the ice. See form above.
Student Coaches are to be used at the discretion of the Head Coach at each level. If a Student Coach is not being a productive member of the coaching staff they should not be used. The expectation of Student Coaches is the same as with any other coach. All coaches should be focused on practice and helping the players improve their skills.
In the case where there are more Student Coaches than needed at a given level a rotation should be used to ensure that all are given a chance to contribute.

NOTE: The association's guidelines vary some from the USA Hockey regulations.

Student Coaches can be a great asset as a role model, drill demonstrator, and effective coaching assistant. This relationship can be rewarding for all involved.

After registering with USA Hockey for coaching, submit your USA Hockey number via this form to the association.

Background Checks

Electronic Screening Form (All MNH Positions)

Minnesota Hockey requires background checks for all members - District 9 Board Members, Coaches, Managers, Association Board Members and Association Representatives. Please use the link to access the Screening form and process. Coaches need their USA Hockey Registration Number to complete the form. Follow the directions, it will take less than 2 minutes.
