In a tight contest, Girls U12 overcame Waseca 4 - 2 at Austin Jamboree on Saturday. Neither team got the puck past the goalie in the first period. The defenses also ruled the second period with no one managing to score. In the final period, the offenses finally got going when Girls U12 outscored Waseca four to two and took the lead to claim the late win.

Having an outstanding day for Girls U12, Whitney Weick made the hat trick with three goals. Halle Overgaard contributed one goal for Girls U12.

Having a good day, Forward Player got two goals for Waseca.

Waseca suffered their first loss and finished the game with a record of 1-1.
